Ask and answer the following questions with a partner/group.

  1. Do you think it’s important to read the newspaper and know what is going on in the world? Why or why not?
  2. Do you trust the information you get from the news?
  3. Can you think of any examples of the media omitting views of people/groups?
  4. What different belief systems are their in your country/countries?

Step 4

Go to the library and collect some newspapers. Find an interesting article and then work with a partner to ask and answer the five questions. Report back to the class.
